Robbie Gordon is a Scottish theatre-maker and creative engagement specialist from Prestonpans. He is Co-founder and Artistic Director of Wonder Fools, the socially engaged theatre company behind productions including 549: Scots of the Spanish Civil War, The Coolidge Effect, Same Team, Òran and Tether 인연.
A 2016 graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Contemporary Performance Practice programme, graduating with the Drama in Education Award, Robbie’s work combines new writing, community collaboration and popular theatre. Recent recognition for Wonder Fools includes Òran winning Best Debut at The Skinny and Fest Mag Awards, a Stage Awards nomination for Positive Stories for Negative Times, a CATS nomination for A Christmas Carol, and a nomination for the Peter Brook Empty Space Award at the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards. Previously Creative Engagement Director at the Traverse Theatre and The Gaiety, Robbie continues to work across Scotland and internationally, making ambitious theatre with and for communities.
